I was working in the construction industry for a large contractor that employs, not counting union labor, somewhere upwards of 100 people, that was before they started laying people off three months ago. I among another 20% of the company's ADM payroll was cut today. You cut taxes for big business in 2002 and said it would stimulate the economy. You gave big business even more of a break three years later singing the same tune. You cut 'em some more slack not 6 months ago and kept on crooning. Well, your silver-spooned cokehead, you fucked us real good, as I have said numerous times to numerous people, including a VP at UBS Paine Webber, that when you mess with the law of supply and demand, you skew the free market and make it chaotic, causing the kind of 'adjustments' we've seen over the past few months. Your father called it "Voodoo Economics" for a reason. And Cheney, you're a cocksucker because you propagated a war without end, spending billions that could have went to help and educate you're fellow Americans. Shame on you.
I'd also like to thank Wall Street, who found it necessary to push the agenda of the free market until it bit them in the ass, then they cried poor and asked for welfare. Well, fellas, that's socialism, and we don't believe in socialism do we? I'll make it my mission, you will all get yours.
Am I bitter, right now yes, but this isn't going to kill me in the short run. I got some severance, I have some money to stay afloat, and I several work options like bartending, writing spam and electrical side work to provide stop gaps. I can clean this new apartment the way I want to, I can write a whole lot more. I have unemployment coming to me and the Local looking out for me on the job front if I really want to get back in that. So, i guess it goes without saying that you'll be seeing me here a whole lot more. I plan on digging into my notes from the past few months and putting together some short story fiction that I'll post from time to time, I'll get political, philosophical and try to rise a little hell, but don't cry for me Argentina, March Madness is coming, coupled with the World Baseball Classic, a possible payoff birth for the Knicks and the Rangers and Mets Baseball. The weather will get warmer and I'm going to enjoy it. I'm going to take advantage of this opportunity rather then fret about it. This ain't my first trip to the zoo, I've seen the animals, I know how they act. Guerrilla finance, I've been here before...
